The Isles of Scilly

Some 28 miles Southwest of Lands End Cornwall lie an archipelago of small British Islands warmed by the gulf stream. With much to offer, the Isles of Scilly’s serene tranquillity is complemented by its rich history, varied wildlife, subtropical plants and friendly atmosphere.
Five inhabited Islands, each with their own character and a multitude of interesting attractions mean the isles have something to offer everyone. From the small town island of St Mary’s with crafts, beaches, sports and hotels to the more isolated fern and gorse hills of Bryher all have an intrinsic beauty and easy to handle lifestyle.
A paradise for wreck hunters the Islands harbour over a thousand shipwrecks and varied wildlife often graces the shores. Birds, fish and visitors alike often share the white sands and clear water untainted by pollution or muddy waters.
Scilly suffers from a varied temperate climate which switches between hot sunny days with blue skies and mirror calm seas to tropical rainstorms and thunderous seas. Make sure you go prepared and expect delays if the weather is rough!
